The carbon footprint of your holiday

Holidays, adventures, escapes - we all love them. But, like almost everything else we do, they come with a carbon footprint (often a surprisingly large one).

Through our carbon reduction work, we've done hundreds of carbon calculations to measure the carbon emissions of a variety of different holidays, and we thought it might be helpful to share some of the results.

For context, 50% of the world's population has an average carbon footprint of 1600kg a YEAR. Perhaps something to consider when you’re planning your next trip.

Our holiday league table:

Carbon footprint of travel

Let us know if you’d like to know the footprint of a specific trip (full disclaimer: we’re not holiday planners so please don’t be disappointed when we suggest camping in your back garden).

The good news is, no matter how you like to R&R there are plenty of ways to reduce the carbon emissions generated from your trip. Flying less is the most obvious, but there's so much more than that. If you'd like to talk about what you could do, feel free to email us.
